Twenty-two 2″ Square Shaft grouted helical micropiles with a 10″12″14″ helical configuration encased in 6″ steel casing and grout that surrounded the pile with an 80 KIP minimum capacity.  Depth of pile ranging from a minimum of 30 feet to a maximum of 50 feet per the engineers specifications per pile. Heavy duty underpinning bracket and T pipe were used for the support application once the 2″ Square Shaft piles were in a suitable load bearing strata. The average torque reached on this job was 13,000 foot pounds of torque [130 KIPS].  Due to the presence of an unknown layer of iron sand, pre-drilling was required to be able to get the steel cased pile to the required depths.
