Elevator Shaft Piles

An existing home in Sea Isle City, NJ was adding an elevator to the back of the home.  Due to historically weak soils on this barrier island, the Architect of record required helical piles for the foundation in the elevator shaft. Lacking soil logs, grout filled 6″ PVC was pulled down around the extensions for additional support and corrosion protection. The proximity of the pit to a neighboring property benefited from a low impact no-vibration helical installation.
