Helical piles are an excellent cost-effective choice for sewers or pipeline support because they are equally efficient in both foundation support and uplift. Screw anchors and piles are predictable and measurable, as well as economical. A 250 lb. helical pier can replace 100,000 lbs of concrete on a section of pipeline.
Constructability is also aided and abetted by helical technology. Mobilization and access is greatly mitigated with much less disturbance to neighborhood streets and their residents.
Stabilization design of a pipeline is based on the shear strength of the soil and/or on the over-burden pressure of the soil on the anchor. These CHANCE® screw anchors do not require the physical weight of the pipe or soil to overcome the buoyancy of the pipe in the water or mud.
- Ease/speed of mobilization and demobilization
- Mitigates access issues
- Less disturbance to neighborhood
- Predictable, measurable results
